In a Family campfire trip, a young girl finds herself struggling with the darkness surrounding them. The dark plays games with her head, escalating into an unforeseeable family crisis. The young girl does not like to talk about them nor even want to pay heed on it. Will she overcome her fears or live forevermore in shame with her secret? 

As a creative artist, I want to try different things even if one of the methods I use require borrowing existing material.In relation to my film, I wanted to experiment in terms with issues like being afraid of the dark. Likewise to what was first mentioned, the stories I come up with from time to time may be already seen in media like from books, movies, games, and more. However, I also want to create something different with it than what has previously been done. It is important to me because original story writing is very difficult. But, I do noticed that eventually you can branch off as you edit further. It gets much clearer and helps you figure out what you actually want. My style per say is a range from joyful to dark. 

Ella Punzal is a 2D animator who originated from the Philippines. She was five years old when she and her family moved to Canada. It’s been 17 years now since their first immigration to Canada. Likewise to the people of her age, She have grown fond of Japanese Anime and comics. She also love animated films especially to that of Disney. Her most favourite are the Disney classics because they have a unique style that can never be forgotten. One of her favourites were Maleficent from Walt Disney’s 1959 Sleeping Beauty. She loves the character design and that Maleficent is pretty despite being supposedly depicted as a bad guy. In addition, Ella loved Eleanor Audley’s voice work. Her love for Anime, and comics is what led her to a career for art. Hence, studying animation at Emily Carr. After graduation, Her goal is to get any job relating to her field of study whether it be actual animation work, pre - production for a film, or even character design. However, illustration is fine too since she used to like to draw comics.
