Most people live within a security range they are familiar with, and they are not willing to take the risk of leaving the area. This is like an invisible but actual restraint that limits people's lives. This limitation may come from dependence on bad habits, satisfaction with the status quo, stress of life, and so on. But once they get a chance to leave, they may feel that the results are not as bad as they think. This is also my personal confusion and thinking about the self-state in different stages. It is not only a personal experience but also a problem faced by many people. So after I have experienced, felt and thought, I recorded and expressed my thoughts through animation.

 Bio

Jing Meng (born 1995). VFX artist, compositor, 3D animator. At the age of 17 he had an opportunity to enter a short-term post production program, which interested him in making visual effects and animation. In 2014, he moved to Canada to attend Emily Carr University in order to explore his passion for animation. During his years in university, Jing has worked on personal and commercial projects involving animation and film. Currently he is working for a toy company as an animation designer.
