Synopsis
Persephone, the Goddes of Spring, has fallen into the unfamiliar domain of Hades, the God of the Dead.
Artist Statement
Originally, this film was inspired by the poem ‘Bavarian Gentians’ by DH Lawrence, a poet I was introduced to in high school. The idea developed into a story focused on a bittersweet good-bye between Hades and Persephone. Deaths in my family over the years inspired me. There are individuals whom I had wanted to see again after University but they passed before I could visit. Mourning death from a distance or saying goodbye to loved ones due to long term separation for unknown lengths of time is my reality.

On January 4th 1996 I was born one month early in Hong Kong to parents from the Philippines. In 2001, I lived in Singapore for 14 years, growing up in a multicultural First world country. After graduating High School in 2014 I moved to Canada, Vancouver, B.C to study Animation at Emily Carr University of Design + Art. I’ve been a character designer since I was 10 but I am also a painter, a sculptor, a craftier and more. I plan on continuing to expand my list of creative skills and working for small 2D animation studios after school.
