Artist Statement
Gamer tells a story about a girl who is addicted to games finds the beauty of nature after she got accidentally disconnect from the game. The gaming world’s attration to people is from the “utopian” chaotic setting, enviroment and the freedom that allow us to destory...but in the end we still seek for realism in our imperfect/inestimably world; which is the beauty of life.
Bio
Kaya Zou was born and raised in Guangdong, China and move to Vancouver, Canada during elementary school. She loves to sculpt and paint since she’s young and got accepted into an art school as she wishes and graduated in 3D Animation major from Emily Carr University of Arts + Design. Kaya Zou specializes in modeling, lookdev and compositing. Kaya Zou plans to continue to study and finds herself a spot in the cg/ game industry.
